  A single source for learning about the latest enhancements to the My Oracle Support User Interface... On January 27, 2012, we launched a new My Oracle Support HTML-based user interface (UI). The new user interface is built using Oracle’s Application Development Framework and is our first step towards providing a single online support portal for our customers and partners; one that all users will transition to in the coming months. Further enhancements to the HTML-based user interface are planned for April 13, 2012. We will transition users of the standard Flash-based interface in the coming months. • SQL Server 2012 Cumulative Update #1 is available!

  While I joked earlier this month that SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 was released on the same day as General Availability (hey, it's Microsoft's fault since they decided to GA on April 1), this time it isn't a joke. Today Microsoft has released Cumulative Update #1 for SQL Server 2012 . About half of the fixes affect the database engine. In it, we see (in the words of the immortal Richard Dawson, RIP) "Surveys Says!": Java computer programming language is on top. • Fiscal quarter vs calendar quarter

  I'm building a Date/Time class with a "configurable quarter" system as follows. User specifies which month the quarter starts at (config) Set of functions to deal with quarters (next quarter, prev quarter, etc) All quarter functions respect the config Now this class is primarily to be used for fiscal quarter calculations. So assuming I have this class with a configurable "quarter" system, would I need another parallel set of functions for calendar quarters too? What are the applications for calendar quarters anyways? By calendar quarters I mean where Q1 is Jan-Mar, and Q4 is Oct-Dec. By fiscal quarters I mean whatever standard your Country uses (in India Q1 starts in April)
